The most scenic spot for a dog walk is at the Swasey Parkway, which is stretched out for about a mile along the banks of the Squamscott River. Dows Corner/ Haynes Corner
There is plenty to do in the Dows Corner/ Haynes Corner neighborhood, with a few different open spaces located here. At 67 acres in size, Katz Land is the largest, and mainly consists of dense forest. There are several walking trails snaking their way through the trees, and these are pawfect for a leisurely walk with Fido. If you would prefer somewhere slightly smaller, the Enwright Open Space is 30 acres in size, and is just a short walk away from Katz Land. This then connects on to the Hunter Place Open Space, which adjoins on to Pine Meadow, all of which feature dense forests.

Watson Woods
The Watson Woods neighborhood is home to some pawriffic dog walks, with some of the best to be found at the Cragmere Heights Open Space. About half of this land is forested, with the other half being grassy meadows, giving you and Fido a great choice of terrain. Not too far away from here is the Exeter Highlands Open Space, as well as the Deer Run Open Space, both of which feature dense forests and an array of wildlife. Dogs are welcome in all of these tail-wagging green areas, but a dog lead, doggie bags and drinking water for your pup are essential.

Gooch Corner/ Perkins Hill
The Gooch Corner/ Perkins Hill neighborhood is packed with natural beauty, and one of the best spots to enjoy this is the Little River Conservation Area. This 400 acre stretch of land is pawfect for a walk with Fido, and there is a 1.7 mile loop trail here that the two of you can follow. If your pooch still needs more exercise, head on over to the Henderson-Swasey Town Forest, which sprawls out for 220 acres. There is a well-established trail system here with four main trails to choose from. The longest is the Blue Loop, at 1.75 miles in length, while the Gas Pipeline Trail is the shortest at just half a mile in length.

Kensington Farm Village
Kensington Farm Village in Kensington is right next to Exeter, and is a neighborhood with plenty of activities to enjoy with your pup. Begin with a walk around Sawyer Park, which has recently been refurbished. The park now boasts several sports facilities, a skate park, a playground, a band stand and paved walking trails.
