It's aptly named Florence Dog Park, and it's located at 200 East 8th Street just behind the little league park. The park is fenced and is covered in grass. It's not too big, but it's well-maintained. The park also offers benches and picnic tables. Just a little bit further from Florence Dog Park is Heritage Park, which is not a dog park specifically, but dogs are allowed there as long as you clean up after them and keep them on their leash. Other fun amenities at this park include a water park, basketball courts, football area and more. This is the place to be if you want to enjoy some family time. If you need a place to stay with your dog, you can visit Rancho Sonora Inn.

San Tan Valley
Approximately 23 miles away from Florence is the San Tan Mountains Regional Dessert. This park is not specifically designated for dogs, but it is dog-friendly. Although you have to pay an entrance fee of $6, people say it's worth it. It's a family-friendly place where your dog has to be on a leash at all times. Make sure to bring waste bags so you can clean up after your pup, and plenty of water because the trails are pretty long and hot. You are in a dessert, after all! Also, it doesn't have much shade, so make sure you visit the park when it's not too hot. The park includes poop stations and has benches for dog owners. There is a wash-up area with a water hose and lots of water bowls for your pup. The fence is pretty secured, and there is also an area for smaller or more passive dogs. There is no agility equipment, so make sure you bring some toys for tiring out your pup. Another park in the vicinity where you can take your dog is the Peart Park. This park is not designated especially for dogs, so your furry buddy must be on-leash.

The Paseo Vista Recreation Area Dog Park is a little bit further away than the other parks listed here, at approximately 37 miles from Florence. Some destinations are worth the trip, and this one is no exception. This park is very clean, and the view is fantastic. There is a disc golf area, playground, and a dog park. The park has two zones. Maintenance is carried out weekly on an alternating schedule; one section stays open while the other is being maintained. It's the perfect place for training and socializing your pup. Children under 12 are not allowed in the dog park, though. Make sure to bring water and to clean up after your dog.
