Fountain Inn is a scenic little historic town located in Greenville County, South Carolina. Filled with all the small town charm you could want, Fountain Inn manages to retain that while providing all the amenities you may need. If there’s something you need that’s not immediately in town, make your way to the flourishing downtown area of Greenville, or even to the nearby ever growing city of Simpsonville.

Just a short trip down the strip of Main Street will take you to Simpsonville, where you’ll find the recently renovated Simpsonville Park. Here, you'll find a wonderful dog park, which is separated down the middle into two distinct areas for small and large dogs. The ground is padded with soft mulch that feels good on puppy’s paws, and the dog park usually isn’t terribly busy, making it a doggone great place for your pup to begin socializing. You’ll need to bring some doggy waste bags, as well as some clean drinking water and a collapsible water bowl. Maybe even bring a ball to toss around with your baby barker. With all of this located less than twenty minutes away from Main Street Fountain Inn, your pup will be set!

First and foremost on your doggy to-do list should be making a trip to downtown Simpsonville, where you’ll not only find the aforementioned park, but you’ll also find the Ice Cream Station. The Ice Cream Station is a little ice cream shop just off of the railroad tracks where locals love to bring their dogs on bright and sunny days. Your dog is welcome on a leash, and the location is known to occasionally provide frozen treats for your furry friend as well. Settle in and make some new friends while you and your pup chow down on tasty treats.

Located in Central Fountain Inn proper, nearly smack dab in the middle of the city, you’ll find a delicious location that should make you paws. Orion’s Bar and Grill is far from a dive bar, with an eclectic selection of food items and delicious brews for you to choose from. Even better, your pup pal is welcome to join you at any of the outdoor tables on a nice and sunny day. Though the management of the bar suggests you call ahead to confirm a table is ready, the extra step is well worth the reward for you and Fido.

Last but definitely not least, if you’re looking for a good casual bite, somewhere you and your tired tot can take a load off, mosey on over to East Greenville. This location is home to a number of dog-friendly restaurants to choose from, but most notable is the low key location of Fresh to Order, a restaurant with sumptuous soups, palatable paninis, and your choice of any number of large dishes that may suit your fancy. Your dog will be more than welcome on the concrete patio that makes up the outdoor seating area, and you’ll both enjoy sitting and staying.
