Framingham is a quaint New England city located about 30 miles west of the popular city of Boston. The city was incorporated in 1700 and has since seen many changes! There are plenty of fun activities and trails to discover in the city – particularly within the expansive Callahan State Park. Spanning over 820 acres, the park features a multitude of amenities for both four- and two-legged visitors. In addition to plenty of open areas where your pups can run off-leash, there are 7 different trails to explore.

Need to schedule your annual check-up? There are five veterinarian services available throughout town, with more located in the surrounding areas. You can also grab a bite in the area at one of the pet-friendly locations, like CJ’s Northside Grill, where pets are allowed outside on the patio with customers.

If you are new to the area and looking to find accommodations that will allow you to bring your furry friend along, you’re in luck! Framingham has a number of pet-friendly hotels, as well as apartments and houses for those looking for a more purrmanent solution. The city is split down the middle by the I90 and State Road 9, making it particularly easy to reach via car.
