Fredonia has had a history as a much desired place to live. While your dog won't care much about the fact that Fredonia was the location of the first natural gas pipeline, she will care that the town is very dog-friendly! Whether romping through parks or dining out on the town, Fredonia makes it easy to take your pet with you wherever you go. There's even an animal hospital operating out of Fredonia. Leave worry behind and just enjoy your time!

Houghton Commons is a great little park in Fredonia. While the commons are less important to the town than they once were, it's still a fun slice of Fredonia history. Head to the commons to enjoy the relaxing lawns, pretty flower beds, and learn about the history of Fredonia. With a selection of small plaques and a statue, you can really soak in life in Fredonia. Your leashed dog will love the room to walk and smells to sniff!

Hungry? Head to Upper Crust! This casual Italian restaurant serves up great pizzas, apps, and soups that all stem from family recipes. Your dog is welcome at any of their eight outdoor tables, and they include a water bowl for canine guests!

Just nine minutes from Fredonia is Point Gratiot Park. Located in The Point neighborhood of Dunkirk, this park offers you a fantastic view of Lake Erie. The park has a few easy, flat, paved paths that wind through and around it. None of them will count as a day hiking, but they're still a fun time at the park. This park also has a lot of grassy space. If your dog would rather amble along following their nose than stick to the path, this is the park for you. There are also benches and picnic tables. Dogs have to be leashed in the park.

A thirteen minute drive is definitely worth it when it ends at a waterfall. Pack up the car and take your dog to a great park off the beaten path in South Brocton. Burr Falls is a gorgeous, three seasons waterfall. You can view it after a short walk, but bring your boots if you want to go deeper into this park. If you prefer your time outdoors to be more "wilderness" and less "gardening center", this is the place for you. Bring your own water and a doggie bowl for your pup, because you're following the trails up into this park. The area is popular for fishing as well as viewing Burr Falls.
