Fresh Meadows in Queens is a residential area with apartments and row houses.  There are two parks and a pawesome trail here. When your pooch needs a little TLC, you'll find three veterinary clinics that offer professional services in this community.

Take a drive with your furry pal to Crocheron Park, about five miles north of town. This facility includes a pond, paved walking trails, and an off-leash dog run. Let your pup play with other canines or take him jogging with you in the park. Make sure you have evidence of dog registration and current rabies vaccine with you when you come here.

Enjoy nature while hiking with your special pal at Alley Pond Environmental Center. Dogs on a leash no longer than six feet are welcome to join you on the trails in the facility. You and Fido can explore meadows, forest, and wetlands in this furiffic place located about four miles southeast of Fresh Meadows.

Let your four-footed friend play off-leash by the bay at Little Bay Dog Run, located at Cross Island Parkway and Utopia Parkway about six miles from town. Dogs that are licensed and up to date on rabies shots are welcome to use this facility.

In the neighborhood of Fresh Meadows, you and Fido will find streets lined with single-family homes. You can take a stroll along the sidewalk in this area. If you'd like to walk among trees and green space with your special pal, head over to Vanderbilt Parkway. This three-mile multi-use trail goes through a greenway between 199th Street and Francis Lewis Boulevard before heading east into the park. Walk or jog with your pup on the pathway. Keep your furry friend on a leash that's no longer than six feet and make way for bicycles. Licensed and vaccinated dogs may join you here, provided you clean up their waste.

Oak Grove, in the northern half of Fresh Meadows, is a lovely neighborhood with apartment buildings and condos. There's plenty of landscaped lawn and trails in the area where you and Fido can go for a little walk. While you're out, spend some time in Oak Grove, located in the center of 64th Circle. This pocket park has shade trees and lawn space with some benches. You and your pooch can enjoy a little picnic together here. Dogs on a leash up to six feet long are welcome to accompany you as long as they're licensed and current on vaccinations. Make sure you bring waste bags with you.

Utopia borders Fresh Meadows on the west side. This residential neighborhood includes some public schools and playground areas. You can walk your canine companion down the sidewalks in this area. For some green space, go just over one mile northeast to Kissena Corridor Park on Underhill Avenue. This linear facility has lawn areas and a paved walking trail where you and your four-footed pal can walk or jog together. Dogs can come here as long as you keep them on a leash that's no longer than six feet and you clean up after them. Make sure your pup is licensed and up-to-date on rabies shots.
