Ruff Range Dog Park is located within the B.F. Phillips Community Park in this neighborhood. The dog park features 2.5 acres of fenced pawsome space with hills, terrain, trees, pavilions and benches for dogs and their owners to enjoy. There are separated off-leash exercise areas for large and small dogs, and the entrance/exit features double gates for added security. The 117-acre B.F. Phillips Community Park surrounding the dog park has many varied sports fields, a snack shop, and restrooms. The sniff-tastic walking trails will make for a lot of fun as both you and Fido explore the park and follow the squirrels.

Hunters Creek
Limestone Quarry Park, a little-known secret of Frisco, is tucked into the Turnbridge Manor subdivision. This beautiful and peaceful respite of prairie grasses, limestone benches and public artwork has plenty of space for a wagger-ific leashed walk. The birds are plentiful as you walk along the path. The ducks in the pond across the street will entertain you as you explore the water’s edge. Taychas Trail is a 1-mile multi-use trail to enjoy with your pup for a leashed walk. The trail has a concrete surface and is wheelchair accessible. The route runs through a peaceful forested area and passes Limestone Quarry Park. Be aware that there are no restrooms in this park.

The Frisco Commons Park, a 64-acre wonderland of picnic space, playgrounds, pavilions, and a spray park, is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon. Bring Fido for a leashed walk through the trees around the park pond to enjoy the ducks and the fish. There is plenty of open space in the park for exploring on leash and on extended walks. Covered picnic spaces are available for lunch with your pup, or with several friends and their pups. Stewart Creek Park is nine miles from Frisco in The Colony, and has a sniff-abulous nature trail that runs through this beautiful setting. A sandy swimming beach around Lake Lewisville is also available for enjoying the water in the warm months. The park is clean, well-maintained and patrolled by the authorities. There’s a charge to park your car, but entry is free otherwise. Hidden Cove Park and Marina, an approximately 900-acre park in the heart of nature, has everything you need for a paw-tastic walk and swim with your pooch. Stop by the onsite store for munchies and drinks for a spontaneous picnic. There’s a charge for each car at Hidden Cove, but full time security is provided. Do you and your pup enjoy camping?
