You can’t beat the view from Narrows Park in this neighborhood, a great little out-of-the-way space. The 6 acre waterfront area has paved parking, grassy play and picnic areas, picnic tables, a boat launch, telescopes, and a gazebo overlook to watch the boats. Acres of grass and the occasional lake, creek or wooded trail make Narrows Park a great way to spend an active day with your dog in nature. Tubby’s Trail Dog Park nearby offers separate off-leash exercise spaces for small and large dogs with enough room to play and socialize. There are a few trails that go through the forest to entice your pup on an adventure of smells and sounds if he’s just not in the social mood.

Forest Beach/ Sunrise Beach
Kopachuck State Park’s sun-warmed, shellfish-rich beaches and creaky forest calls you right out of everyday life and into an adventure. Explore the two miles of shaded hiking trails and plenty of beach this park offers. There are plenty of picnic tables for a rest or a picnic. If your pup is a boater, hop into your canoe or kayak and explore the 2-acre Cutts Island State Park that is only reachable by water, and is a half mile from Kopachuck State Park.
