One house was all it took for Haddon Heights, New Jersey to become a community -- one house that had one room for one man. That one man decided to build a passenger house on his land. That was expanded, and soon, the whole town was laid out in a grid system. And the rest, as they say, is history! This community is over 100 years old -- come and see its historical significance for yourself. Enjoy the pawfect scenery as you and your dog walk through Haddon Heights' beautiful countryside. This small community even has room for a vet clinic, with emergency care available just a short drive away.

Haddon Heights Park may be small, but it's packed with amenities. There's a playground, a walking trail, picnic tables, and restrooms here. Your dog is allowed to join you as long as he's on a leash. It is a barktastic place to come and spend the afternoon.

If you find that your belly is growling while you are out playing, you and your dog can stop by and visit Ralph's Pizza. They have mouthwatering pizzas, large hoagies, and more specialty toppings than you thought pawssible. There are three dog-friendly tables, or you could stop by on your way to the park and pick up a hoagie or pizza for a picnic!

Haddon Lake Park is a massive 73-acre park that has a ton of barktastic features. There are walking paths, bike paths, and a cross-country trail. The park is open daily all year long, but it may close in bad or dangerous weather. You will need to bring your own water bowls -- there is running water here, but no dog fountains. The moment that you walk into Anthony's, you'll know there is something that sets this place apart from other dog-friendly restaurants. Maybe it's the upscale decor; maybe it's the food; maybe it's a bit of both! You and your dog will be mesmerized by the menu options while you relax at the outdoor seating area. Your dog has to stay on a leash, but you can order him his own bowl of water. You're welcome to bring your own beverages (particularly those of the alcoholic variety) since Anthony's doesn't have a bar. Note that the outdoor seating area is only available in warm weather.

The Philly Pretzel Factory puts a unique twist on the everyday pretzel. You can order a classic salted pretzel here, but they have so much more to offer, like pretzel dogs, pretzel cheesesteaks, and specialty dips. You can even grab a slushy while you are here. The outdoor tables are the pet-friendly ones. Your pup will need to be leashed, but he'll love this place as much as you do! The best part? The outdoor tables offer beautiful views of the city, making it a pawfect place to do some people-watching while you snack. Don't forget to bring a water bowl for Fido.

Let's face it -- anywhere you can take your dog is pretty awesome. Every adventure is made better with your fur-baby in tow. However, there are times when you want to do something just for them, which is why you need a dog park. If you are in Haddon Heights, then you only need to drive about fifteen minutes to get to Freedom Dog Park in Medford. It is a large dog park with trails, fields to run in, and plenty of room to socialize. There is no fence, so your dog will need to respond well to voice commands. There are water spigots and doggie waste bags available for you to use.
