Haddonfield doesn't have a large population, but it's situated at the heart of many interesting places for people and their furry family members to explore. No veterinarians have set up shop in Haddonfield, but you'll find dozens of veterinary clinics in neighboring locales. Haddonfield has several city parks with green spaces for you to visit. Mountwell Park has a picnic area and playground for the kids.
Pennypacker Park is also located in Haddonfield, and you and Fido would be barking mad to miss it. This 30+ acre park is where an almost fully intact hadrosaurus dinosaur was found in the late 1800s! The theme of the park, of course, is centered around this famous find. Pennypacker also has some dirt and gravel walking trails that are popular with runners and dog walkers. A few are tucked in the upper sections of the park and can be more difficult to locate. Also on the property are a pond and a river that attract anglers from around the county.
Other towns in Camden County offer fifteen county parks with all sorts of fun outdoor spaces to explore. Another county park, Newton Lake Park, is just four miles west of Haddonfield. Newton offers over 100 acres of scenic parkland. A paved 2.43-mile path around the lake gives a person with a leashed dog a good workout amid the squawks of waterfowl. A stone pavilion makes for a scenic spot to stop for a rest or rent for a family picnic or party.
Hello! I'm Julie, a 23 year old college graduate living in Manhattan. I'm an aspiring musical theatre performer so I take lots of dance, singing, and acting classes. I joined Wag not only to help pay for my training, but mostly because I don't have a dog of my own in the city, and I've been feeling very lonely without my furry friend. My dog lives at home in South Jersey with my parents. Dogs bring a smile to my face and instantly make my day better, so I thought why not give back and help them out too! I can't wait to meet you and your best friend! :)
