Central Harleysville is a busy community, and home to the city's country club and downtown shopping area. The neighborhood still has some amazing parks to visit, like the Daniel W Roth Memorial Park, which has 18 acres of well-kept grassy terrain with a baseball field, open space, and looping trail made from concrete. The park is nice and open, and will be the best place to bring your leashed pup for a game of fetch or to run around. Harleysville Community Center Park is nearby, and holds a lot more recreational fields, with over 8 baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and paved walkways. There are open space and additional amenities like water fountains, trash bins, clean-up stations, and benches.

Vernfield
The neighborhood of Vernfield is the smallest neighborhood in the city, filled with a mixture of residential homes and woods. The Briarwyck Park is the most popular dog-walking park in the community, thanks to its quiet atmosphere, private setting, and features like a fishing pond, paved walking trail, benches, and trash bins. Groffs Mill Park is a larger park in the city that is mostly covered in thick forests, with some open fields for playing and picnicking. A large creek cuts through the park, offering fishing and swimming opportunities. Additional features include water fountains and benches. Dogs must be on a leash inside both parks.

The community of Lederach is an older one, made up of used farmlands and thick forests. Some of the old farmlands have been converted into parks like the Jacob Reiff Park has been. This area is one big open area, with an asphalt walkway, playground, and parking lot. There are benches and trash bins available for humans and leashed pups. The Bergey's Mill Park is another place to take Fido in town and is pretty secluded, surrounded by trees for privacy and shade. This spot offers an open area to run around in, with access to a small pond for fishing. Don't forget to leash up Fido and bring water and clean-up bags!

Southeast Harleysville
Southeast Harleysville has a beautiful landscape, with large oak trees scattered around the area and fresh green fields. Fischer's Park provides a gorgeous escape from the inner city area, with an open green field, forested area, and paved trails that wind through te park. The trails extend over 1.4 miles and provide access to water fountains, benches, and picnic areas for leashed pups and humans. Towamencin Park is also in the neighborhood, and hosts lots of open space that also include 5 different baseball fields, restrooms, picnic pavilions, water fountains, benches, clean-up stations, and nighttime lights. Pups must remain on a leash while inside this park.

The community of Woxall is a residential one, with rows of homes and a decent school district. The park of choice for most residents is the Upper Salford Park, which boasts multiple activities. There are 3 fenced-in baseball fields, tennis courts, 1.2 miles of paved walking trails, picnic shelters, a pavilion, and restrooms. Leashed pups can go into the baseball fields and under the pavilion while on a leash and will also have access to water fountains, clean-up stations, benches, trash bins, and nighttime lights. For a large open area to play in, Salfordville Park provides a large space with tall grass. The area doesn't require pups to be on a leash though, and you will have to remember to bring water and clean-up bags.
