Haslet is a small city in Texas that was first settled in the 1880s, but wasn't incorporated until 1961. Today it has a population of over 1,800 people. Just 15 miles north of downtown Fort Worth, Haslet is a convenient place to live if you want to experience the charm of a small town while still being near all the amenities of a big city. Haslet has gained a reputation for being an exceptional place for families to live thanks to its school district, low crime rate, and many family-friendly annual events. Haslet has the traditional Texan climate with long, hot summers and mild winters, which means you won't be stuck inside with your dog due to cold weather.

One of the best places to enjoy the splendid weather and surroundings in Haslet, Texas is at the John Gammill Park, which is adjacent to the town's library. This park isn't an off-leash park, but your dog can join you there if they're on a leash and you clean up after them. The John Gammill Park has covered pavilions, picnic tables, and a play area. Connected to Gammill Park is the Haslet Community Park, which has playgrounds, sports fields, an 18-hole disc golf course, and a walking trail perfect for getting some exercise with Fido. Haslet may be a small city, but there are plenty of pawfect opportunities for having fun there with your dog!
