The park provides water fountains throughout, as well as a large pond for swimming and plenty of doggie toys and poop bags. You can pay a daily fee or apply for a membership, but make sure you read up on the requirements before visiting!

Another off-leash park that's fairly close to Hastings is the Lowell Dog Park, located about 23 miles north of Hastings. The pawsitive side of this doggie park is that it's completely free to visit! If you have a small pup and you want a separate area where they can play freely, this park is pawfect for you. There is a drinking fountain for humans and canines, and behind the fenced area, there is a lake in which doggos are allowed to swim! Seating for the doggie owners is available as well -- just be sure to bring waste baggies and towels for a doggone good time!

Approximately 25 miles lie between you and the Cascade Hospital for Animals Dog Park, located in Forest Hills. The park is only a few years old, and it has separate areas for differently sized pooches weighing over and under 20 lbs. A big plus is the double-gated entry which makes the park even safer. The fence is five feet high, and there are water fountains both for humans and canines. Parking is available nearby and poop baggies are provided on-site. Doggies have to be vaccinated and spayed or neutered before entering this park. You're respawnsible for keeping the place clean and watching over your fur-baby.

The Fulton Heights neighborhood of Grand Rapids is a quiet residential area featuring large homes and spacious sidewalks where you can get your daily exercise with Fido. It's also home to a dog park! Hillcrest Dog Park is located a bit further away from Hastings at 35 miles away, but it's still not too far, especially if you're already planning to take a trip to the big city with your pooch. It has separate areas for small and large pooches and pawlenty of room for chasing balls and meeting new fur friends. If you decide to check out this park, make sure you bring fresh water with you since there is no water source available.

This 24-acre doggie park features a large pond where doggos can swim and fetch balls in the water. Additionally, there is a separate area for small and shy doggos and plenty of agility equipment. There is even a rinse-off area outside of the park so you can clean up your pooch before leaving. Drinking water, poop baggies, and seating areas are all provided by the park. Although this is a membership-only park, you can visit it three times before you're required to purchase a membership.
