Doggie waste bags are supplied by the park. The ground is grass-covered, and mostly flat. There is limited shade, though, so keep that in mind. Use of this dog park is by permit only. Residents of Sunset Hills and the adjacent city of Crestwood pay a reduced fee to use this dog park.

St Louis Hills
St. Louis Hills is a southern neighborhood of St. Louis City located about 22 miles north of High Ridge. Southwest City Dog Park at Wilmore Park is a fully fenced dog park where your pup can run, romp, and make some new fur-iends. There is a separate area for small dogs. Water is available on-site, and, in the warmer months, hoses and plastic kiddie pools are provided. Shaded picnic benches, doggie waste bags, and waste disposal stations are added bonuses for pet parents. This dog park is operated by a nonprofit community association, and a permit is required to visit it. Wilmore Park also has several open spaces, walking trails, and two lakes. Dogs are welcome to explore the other parts of the park with their people, as long as they're on a leash.

Maryland Heights is 25 miles north of High Ridge, and is home to the Dogport Dog Park located at 2469 Old McKelvey Road. This dog park has four acres of fully fenced space for dogs to run and socialize off-leash. The dog park features a separate area for small dogs. The terrain of the dog park is mostly crushed rock/gravel and small patches of grass. A few picnic tables are scattered in the dog park and around the perimeter. The dog park also includes a few tunnels and structures so Fido can have a little extra fun while playing. Water is available on-site. This dog park is by membership only.

This dog park features several permanent pieces of agility equipment, and there is also access to a small body of water where dogs can enjoy a cool splash on a hot summer day. The park features some comfort features for the human companions, like a covered pavilion complete with wi-fi! Annual and daily passes are available for visitors. The dog park is open from 7 a.m. until sunset.
