The city of Arnold maintains the only two free public dog parks in Jefferson County. One is in the City Park and the other is in Ferd B. Lang Park. They give dogs the same amount of space and have the same amenities. Dogs are invited to run and play in a large, fenced, grassy space. An area is sectioned off for the small dogs. People and pups have drinking water available in the dog park. The human companions are treated to shaded benches from which to supervise their pups. Waste stations are conveniently situated around the park for easy pick-ups.

Sunset Hills
Sunset Hills is located twenty-nine miles north of Hillsboro, and maintains the Kitun Dog Park. This dog park gives dogs a chance to run without the inhibition of a leash. There are two beautiful, grassy acres for pups to play and sniff out a new furry pal or two! Some pieces of agility equipment add to the fun. A separate section of the space is fenced for the small dogs. Water for pups and their parents can be found in the dog park. Numerous waste stations help keep the grass walkable. Shaded places for people to sit are a bonus. Registration with the city of Sunset Hills or the city of Crestwood is required prior to use. There is a fee.

Thirty-three miles north of town, you'll find a furrific dog park that Fido will love! Treecourt Unleased Dog Adventure Park has nine gorgeous and green acres for a dog to explore. Trees are planted throughout the dog park and provide shade on those hot summer days. People have plenty of shaded benches on which to sit and enjoy being outdoors while their pups play with the rest of the pack. A walking path around the wooded property makes for an easy stroll. Drinking water is available for everyone, and dogs are even treated to water activities in the warm months! This is a privately owned park, and visitors must be members. Dogs must pass a socialization test for entrance to the grounds.

Ballwin is a little further afield at thirty-five miles north, but the ride is worth the tail waggin' good time your pooch will have at Tails and Trails Dog Park in Queeny Park! This dog park has five fully fenced acres of natural terrain for free roaming. A creek and a lake on the ground tempt a few paws into a summertime splash. Four permanent pieces of agility equipment are great for some extra training. Small dogs have their own nice patch of grass for safer play. The human companions will love the amenities this dog park offers. Many shaded benches give people a place to rest, and a pavilion supplies Wi-Fi. This dog park is operated by St Louis County. Prior registration is required to visit, and you'll also need to pay a fee.
