If you’re looking for another pawsitively amazing place for your dog to play off-leash, head to Sewickley Heights Borough Park Off-Leash Area. This park is 14 miles from Imperial, and it allows dogs off-leash everywhere except the main parking lot. Just be sure to keep your pup under voice control at all times. While you’re here, you and your dog can hike on some of the park’s beautiful unpaved trails. These trails take you through forests, around scenic ponds, and past wide-open fields where your dog can run and play. Bring some water and doggy bags, and have a great day out at this park!
If you want to go on a fun walk with your dog, Point State Park is pawfect for you. This park is 16 miles from Imperial, and it welcomes dogs on-leash. This stunning park is located at the confluence of three rivers — the Ohio River, the Monongahela River, and the Allegheny River. For amazing views of all three rivers, hop onto Point State Park’s paved promenade, which goes around the perimeter of the park. You and your pup will both have a good time strolling around this scenic park! If you’re hungry after the park, head to Diamond Market Bar and Grill. This all-American restaurant welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and they’ll make your pup a plain grilled chicken breast upon request.
Cooks Lane is home to popular off-leash area Carnegie Dog Park. Located 12 miles from Imperial, this dog park includes separate fenced areas for large dogs and small or shy dogs to play in. Water is available for your pup in summer, but the pump is shut off in winter, so you’ll want to bring some water with you then.
