Islip Terrace is a small hamlet in New York, between East and Central Islip. Originally developed in 1914 for German hospital workers, it was once called Germantown. Now a booming area for residents and visitors alike, Islip Terrace is a dog-friendly community ready to welcome all. And if your pup is ever in need of health care, look no further than the next door village of East Islip for a veterinarian.

For some outdoor recreation opportunities, you and your fur-ever friend can head to Beaver Dam Park. Although small in stature, there is lots of open space to take your pup for a walk, sports fields where the local baseball team practices, a playground, and a creek which meanders through.

For some hiking fun, you can visit Brookwood Hall Park. It covers over 35 acres and has many trails to discover. This park also boasts sports fields and tennis courts, a lake for fishing and picnic areas where you can relax.

When you and your pup get hungry, dine at Mary’s Pizza and Pasta's four dog-friendly tables that are open for the summer season.
