Presidential Hills

Brees Bark Park is a dog park located in Presidential Hills, and is 1.68 acres of off-leash fun for your pup. The park is divided into two areas for both large and small breeds. The small park offers play equipment, while the large breed area boasts a splash pool to keep your big pup cool on those hot days. There is plenty of shade for both dogs and people and benches for you to relax while your pup has fun. All dogs must be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and there is a $33 quarterly charge before you are allowed into the park.

Woodland Hills

Lefleur’s Bluff State Park is the perfect park to take your pup. There are plenty of trails for you and your dog to explore, as well as the Pearl River. If you want to create a great adventure for your dog, then check out the campgrounds and enjoy some camping time with your pup. After exploring the park, head over to Walker’s Drive-In or Pig and Pints, both which specialize in barbecue dishes and have several craft beers. The best thing is that they welcome your dog out on their patio with you as you enjoy some great food and beer.

Citizens Southwest

Residents of this large neighborhood in the southern area of Jackson have three parks to choose from! When there’s not a game going on, head over to Sykes Park on Sykes Rd and let your pup run off some energy across the three ball fields. There is lighting and some fencing around the fields, but be sure to keep your pup leashed! Across the street is a park that goes by many names, including Woods Park, Leavell Woods Park, and even Meadow Park. While housing four basefield fields, this park also includes picnic areas, a playground, and public restrooms. For a bit of history, go north to Flowers Park. This is yet another park full of baseball fields, but here you are unlikely to meet any crowds. While the fields are in good condition, the park has not been used for games in a long time, so steer clear of the concessions and other buildings, and be sure to bring a snack and some water!

Northlake

Friendship park in Northlake is a great little park for you and your dog to take a walk or jog around and get some quality exercising in together. If you two are into shopping, then check out Hollywood Feed which is a holistic and natural dog store that also offers training or a full spa treatment. After a fun day out with your dog, stop by Primos Café and grab some Southern Cooking which includes all day breakfast, salads, and sandwiches. Primos Café loves when your pooch joins you for some grub as long as you eat at one of their outdoor patios.

Your dog must be kept on a 6-foot leash when he is not in your camper, but there are a variety of different outdoor activities that you both can enjoy while at the park. This amazing park offers hiking, scenic overlooks, and forested landscapes, all while enjoying the great outdoors and camping. Check out this great state park for some Instagram worthy photos and some quality time with your furry pal. And don’t worry- there are hot showers nearby for the both of you.
