Willow Springs Park on Huffine Road has 36 acres of beauty and wildlife area, as well as an off-leash dog park called Johnson City Dog Park. The area for dogs is 1.6 acres with double gates, separated big and small dogs, water fountains, and even swimming pools shaped like dog bones.

Bark Park on Vance Drive is in the top tier of Charlie Robinette Park and has separate sections for big and small dogs with 1,000 feet of chain-link fence around them. Each area has drinking fountains with dog bowls built into them, exercise equipment, fire hydrants, eight benches, poo bags, and trash cans. In the back of the big dog area, there is a trail leading to the hiking path so you can both get some exercise.

Oak Park is a lovely neighborhood with an outgoing community. Located right next to three separate parks, this is the ideal place to take your pup out for some quality bonding! Located off Woodland Avenue is Rotary Park, a beautiful grassy expanse that your pooch will love playing in. A main road runs alongside this park, so beware of cars. Next is Civitan Park, a lovely natural area with a walking trail that circles through the most scenic parts of the park. Finally there’s Lions Park, playing host to a large grassy field and a path that runs down the center. With so many things to choose from, your pup will never be bored again!

This park is kept lush by Cobb Creek, which runs through the entire area and feeds the beautiful natural environment.  Remember to keep your dog leashed at all times, as this park isn’t fenced in and there are roads nearby. For those visiting from out of town, the Red Roof Inn is a nearby hotel that’s friendly to pets of all sizes, no extra fee required! You and your pooch are sure to have a pawsome time.

Cherokee is a gorgeous area with plenty to do. Near the southern end of this neighborhood is access to Cascade Trail, a lovely walking path that branches off in three different directions into Cherokee National Forest. These trails offer breathtaking views unlike anywhere else in the state. There is an abundance of wildlife, so be sure to keep your pup leashed at all times. Also in Cherokee is the Johnson City Dog Park, which an off leash area that’s fenced in so your dogs can run free without a care in the world! The park is membership only, so make sure you purchase your membership before entering.

Goodin Drive is a beautiful neighborhood that houses Willow Springs Park, a gorgeous expanse with plenty to do. Walking trails wind through the entire area, and large fields lined with shade trees offer plenty of room for your pup to explore. Inside the park is Willow Springs Dog Park, a fenced in area where your dog can run around off leash to their heart’s content. Paid membership is required for entry and all dogs must have up to date vaccinations. There are separate areas for large and small dogs, as well as shade to protect from the sun. Your pup will definitely have a blast!
