Located along the south border of the township, Kingston overlooks Millstone River and features a number of parks and recreation spots, some of which have their own dog parks! You will find Rocky Top Dog Park at the very northern border of Kingston, where it meets with Little Rocky Hill. This is a furrific off-leash park for pups to run freely and sniff out some new friends. Or, feel free to explore Kingston Branch Loop Trail on the opposite side of Kingston, an easy, 1.75-mile hike stretching from Kingston to Rocky Hill.

Highland Park is a town nestled on the western banks of Raritan River, just across from New Brunswick’s busy downtown area. The southernmost region of it is mostly occupied by Donaldson Park, a public recreation spot with river views and a nice dog park. Your buddy is also welcome to hit the walking trails in the main park, as long as they stay leashed, before pawing over to the dog park for some off-leash playtime. The dog park is a marvelous spot to socialize and chat with other dog owners while your puppy is going wild playing with other mutts.
