Famous for being the safest community in all of Maine, Kennebunk is a quintessential historic New England town. Complete with a gorgeous seascape, sandy beaches, a reputable veterinary hospital, and numerous dog-friendly restaurants, it is easy to see why Kennebunk is so popular with those who own dogs.

The picturesque beaches of Kennebunk will no doubt have any dog's tail wagging, with Kennebunk Beach being a long, wide stretch of sand that offers up some pawsome views. Mother's Beach is also popular, and features lifeguards, restrooms and a playground. Keep in mind that dogs need to be kept on the lead at both beaches, and there are time restrictions on when they are allowed to visit the beach during the summer months.

Thanks to the high quality produce grown in the region, Maine is known for its incredible food, and Kennebunk's restaurants really showcase this. The Sebago Brewing Co. serves up local classics, such as Maine lobster and New England clam chowder, with an outdoor patio where you and Fido can enjoy your meal. Boulangerie, A Proper Bakery is a dog-friendly spot that is great for lunch, while the Old Vines Wine Bar, with their local brews, wines and vintage cocktails, is pawfect for dinner.

With numerous dog-friendly outdoor attractions, as well as a variety of restaurants to relax in afterwards, there is so much doggie fun to be had in Kennebunk.
