The town of La Cañada Flintridge is located a ravine, surrounded by the San Gabriel Mountains in the background of California. It was originally split into two separate towns, La Cañada and Flintridge, and thanks to its combination, it earned its place as the 121st most expensive U.S. city by Forbes. The town has also become one of the most expansive places for dog lovers, with numerous in-town and wilderness places to explore with your pup.

The Hahamongna Watershed Park is on the eastern side of the city, and provides 300 acres of protected land that offers mature oak trees, desert landscapes, nature trails and gorgeous views of the mountains in the background. Dogs are allowed off-leash at the park, although it is not fenced-in. Explore the natural terrain or head into the developed areas and enjoy other features like picnic tables, trash bins, water fountains, and clean-up stations.

For some amazing views, head out to Cherry Park, a 130-acre area with desert terrain and over 8 miles of dirt trails. The trails are moderate and dog-friendly, with two overlooks of the city and landscape. Don't forget to bring some water and clean-up bags for your pooch.

La Cañada Flintridge is constantly expanding and trying to make a better experience not only for their human residents but their four-legged residents too!
