If you and your pup want the opportunity to meet other pups and pup parents, head over to Laguna Beach Dog Park! This dog park – a favorite with the locals – is completely fenced in, allowing your dog to run around and meet plenty of new friends. This park has plenty of room, making sure you and your dog can have fun even if you want to play a round of catch, which can be tricky at smaller dog parks. This park is open six days a week; be advised that it’s closed on Wednesdays for routine maintenance and upkeep. Make sure to bring your own water and waste disposal bags.
If you’re looking for somewhere to dine and want Fido to come along, head to the heart of Laguna Beach! Watermarc Restaurant has several dog-friendly, outdoor tables that Fido can join you at while you chow down on mussels, fish, and delicious pasta. Wanting Mexican? Try Rasta Taco! This popular spot allows dogs on their patio, so Fido can join you while you satisfy your craving. About ten miles outside of Laguna Beach is Mission Viejo, where you’ll find La Paws Park. As the name implies, this park is for our friends with paws – specifically, dogs! This dog park has separate areas for large and small dogs, meaning your pooch can confidently socialize with dogs his own size. This off-leash dog park is completely fenced in and double-gated, meaning you don’t have to worry about your dog getting away or sneaking out of the park. Water is provided, but you’ll need to bring your own waste disposal bags.
Located about twenty minutes north of Laguna Beach is Irvine’s Turtle Rock neighborhood, where you and your adventurous pooch will find the Turtle Rock Trail. At just under three miles long, this trail isn’t the longest, but it’s a great hike for beginners. Fido can join you on the trail, too! Just make sure he stays on a leash that’s no greater than six feet in length. Make sure to bring along water for the both of you, and don’t forget to grab some waste disposal bags before hitting the trail. Grab your dog’s leash and some walking shoes, and head out to Turtle Rock!
Hi! My name is Sam and I love working with dogs. I grew up with a variety of dogs and luckily, got the chance to take care of my Aunts dog a few weeks back and I absolutely loved it! I have also volunteered at animal shelters and learned a lot of the basics through them. It was a great experience and made me realize my passion and overall love for dog walking and sitting. I also have a very flexible schedule as I am getting ready to go to University; so I will always be on time and will treat your dog with the same love and respect as I would my own! Let me make your Wag! experience as positive as possible!
