Just five miles from the coast, Laguna Woods is a popular city located in Orange County, California. While Laguna Woods welcomes everyone, it's built up quite the reputation for being a community for retirees or those over the age of 55. Although the city is composed of several smaller communities, residents pride themselves on how neighborly and friendly the city truly is.

Unfortunately, Laguna Woods isn’t a very dog-friendly city. There’s one dog park located within Laguna Woods. There’s also one dog-friendly restaurant, which is a Jersey Mikes. If you’re hoping to go out and have an adventure with your dog, you’ll do better to go to a nearby larger city, such as Mission Viejo, Laguna Beach, or Aliso Viejo. These cities have many different dog-friendly restaurants to choose from. There are more dog parks located within a twenty-minute drive of Laguna Woods. While Laguna Woods doesn’t have a veterinarian clinic, there are quite a few in the nearby city of Laguna Hills.

Although you might have a tough time finding dog-friendly activities within the city, don’t let it scare you off; there’s something just a hop, skip, and jump – or short drive – down the road.

"Hi Mia! I watched you as you walked away from the house with Nigel. He usually stops and looks back for me several times, but he took to you really fast and happily went with you. Thank you for the video!"
