Lake Arrowhead lies within the San Bernardino National Forest in San Bernardino County. The town surrounds the Lake Arrowhead Reservoir, which makes it a great spot to bring Fido for a pawsome adventure. While Lake Arrowhead is a smaller community, it does offer two veterinarians that strive to give your dog the best care.

Lake Arrowhead is filled with fun and beautiful trails that you and your dog can explore together. Be sure to check out the Aztec Falls Trail which has a great waterfall and lake at the end of the hike, or Heart Rock Trail which leads you to a beautiful rock that is in the shape of a heart, perfect for a photo op.

Three Dogs Bakery Lake Arrowhead offers a unique selection of dog treats, pastries, and even cakes for your dog. They can even make a special treat for your dog to help mark a special occasion, and offer seasonal flavors as well. After you’re done grabbing some tasty treats, head over to Papagayos Mexican Restaurant and Eatery on the shore of Lake Arrowhead that has a beautiful, outdoor, dog friendly patio.

Lake Gregory Regional Park is located in Crestline which is on the edge of Lake Arrowhead and is a great spot to take your dog for a fun day out and a great hike. The park has a dog park on the south shore that is separated into two sections, one for large breeds and one for smaller dogs. If your dog is wanting to explore more, than hook them to their leash and check out the Seeley Creek Trail. The trail is 2 miles and takes about an hour to complete, and is considered an easy hike that will give you a beautiful forested view of Crestline. Make sure to bring water and clean-up bags for you dog.

The Lake Arrowhead/ Cedar Glen Dog Park is a pawsome park to let your dog explore off-leash and have a fun time out. The park is fully fenced in and has clean-up bags for you. To stretch those dog legs a little more, head out onto the hiking trails that surround the dog park. If even more exploring is on your pup's agenda, then head across the road to McCay Park. This lovely space offers restrooms, playgrounds, and even picnic tables if you and your dog need to relax for a bit.

The North Shore National Recreational Trail is a dogtastic trail to take your pup on for a fun day out exploring. The trail is 1.9-miles long, but is one of the harder trails to hike at Lake Arrowhead. The trail starts downhill and takes you through the forested canyons of the San Bernardino Mountains. The trail also has a stream that your dog can splash around in. If you and your dog want to continue hiking after finishing this trail, then continue on where it connects to the Pacific Crest Trail. Make sure to keep your dog on leash while hiking and clean up after him.

The town of Skyforest east of Lake Arrowhead is home to The Hungry Bear Deli and Restaurant. This eatery is perfect to stop at after a long day of hiking and exploring and the two of you need a good bite to eat. The Hungry Bear serves hot and cold sandwiches, plus ice cream and milkshakes. They have an outdoor patio that 100 percent welcomes your dog to come eat and relax with you. Locals love how friendly and welcoming the staff is to dogs. They even greet dogs with a fresh bowl of water and shredded turkey breast so long as the owners approve.
