The park is well-shaded by several large, mature trees, so your pup get a good workout without you worrying about them overheating in the California sun! There are two large, separate areas for large and small dogs, and water and bags are provided. While you’re in the area, why not pop in to Howlistic on Severin Drive? Technically located in nearby La Mesa, this San Diego area staple provides delicious, all natural treats sure to keep your pup bright eyed and bushy tailed!

Mast Park in Mission View, Santee is well worth the the eleven-minute drive for the size of its dog park alone. The off-leash area is huge, so there’s plenty of space for your pup to play and socialize! The park has its drawbacks, however; water is available at the park entrance only, and there’s no separate run for small dogs. The gem of Mission View is the Walker Preserve, a beautiful state park with a furrific 1.5-mile dog-friendly trail running right through it! (Your pup needs to stay on-leash on the trail, though.) The trail is suitable for all fitness levels, and water and doggy-doo bags are provided.

The sharp incline is well worth it for the beautiful views at the top, and the bottom portion of the three-mile trail is suitable for all fitness levels. Be careful, though -- the trail doesn’t get a lot of shade in the afternoon, so it’s best to visit in the morning or early evening to avoid the heat.

"Very friendly and punctual. Easy to reach and flexible on hours. Was able to help me with the app and show me how it works. Dogs came back tired and happy. Jacky came we prepared with water and poop bags all she needed were the dogs and their leashes.
