The neighborhood of Jefferson Barracks features 2 parks for you and Fido to enjoy. Head to Jefferson Barracks Park and walk one of the paved the trails in this expansive park. With 405 acres, you and your pooch will have plenty of spaces to explore. Dogs are welcome to accompany owners on the trails, but they should not be brought into the historic/museum areas. In addition to Jefferson Barracks, you and your special pal can head to Sylvan Springs and investigate the 70-acre park. Be sure to keep your pup on a leash no longer than 6 feet while in either of the parks.
Stretching along the Illinois River, the central Lemay neighborhood offers 2 parks for you and your pup. Black Forest County Park is a pleasant area for a stroll. You and Fido can meander along the trails or roam in the fields in this smaller green area. Head over to Lemay Park on the north side of the community and take advantage of the fitness trail that loops throughout this recreational area. Enjoy a jog along the paved path in this recreational area with your pooch. Remember to keep your pooch on a leash no longer than 6 feet and to stay clear of the public buildings, playgrounds, and picnic areas in these parks.

Share some bonding time with your canine pal as you enjoy the green spaces in this park. Another pawtastic way to get some exercise with your pooch is to walk or jog along Grant’s Trail. This paved pathway stretches from the Green Park neighborhood through Union Rd County Park and continues into the central Lemay neighborhood. Remember to keep your pup on a leash that’s no longer than 6 feet and to clean up after any messes.
The community of Green Park has a pawsome park that welcomes pups on a leash up to 6 feet long. Known as Clydesdale Park prior to 2016, Officer Blake C Snyder Memorial Park has 117 acres of green space for you and Fido to explore. Feel free to wander through the woods and open field or to stroll along Gravois Creek. Whether you use this park as a starting point to walk or jog along Grant’s Trail, or you take advantage of other paved pathways in the park, you and your pal can get a little exercise anytime between 8 AM and one hour after sunset.
About 5 miles north of Lemay, the St Louis Hills neighborhood is a wonderfully pup-friendly neighborhood. This community includes SW Dog Park located within Wilmore Park. Come here for social time with two and four-legged park members. The 1.1-acre park has two play areas and a dog wash. In the main area, you and Fido can play ball or frisbee, or you can try out the agility course in a fenced-off section. For smaller, older, or more shy dogs, check out the alternate area featuring a separate entrance, concrete patio, and doggie pool in the warmer months. Both play areas have water bowl stations for pooches to get a little refreshment.
