There are two parks in Live Oak, with the largest being the 75 acre Main City Park. This spacious park is home to multiple sports facilities and playgrounds, as well as numerous picnic areas with barbecue pits dotted around the park.

Less than a mile from Live Oak is the City Center of Converse, and although this may be relatively quiet for a city center, it is home to a park that your dog will absolutely love. The Converse North Park is a large city park with a couple of playgrounds and plenty of green spaces for you and Fido to explore. About two miles from Live Oak is the neighborhood of High Country in San Antonio, where you will find the historic 96 acre Cormanche Lookout Park, which used to be where Cormanche scouts would spy on nearby travelers. In addition to all of the historical structures, there are plenty of modern amenities within the park, including sports facilities, playgrounds, picnic areas and restrooms, as well as four walking trails that total just over two miles in length altogether.
