Occupying the western part of Highlands Ranch, the Westridge neighborhood is home to a wealth of recreation opportunities and dog-friendly places to visit with Fido. South Havana Street
South Havana Street connects two cities in the suburbs of Denver, but belongs to Castle Rock, about 15 miles north of Lone Tree. The street starts at the southern end of Heritage Hills at Ridge Gate Parkway and stretches all the way south to Hess Road in Castle Pines, following the same route as US-87 but lacking the traffic. The Kennedy neighborhood is located on the opposite side of Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora and features two furrific green recreation areas: John F. Kennedy Park and the adjacent Kennedy Golf Course, which are separated from each other by Cherry Creek. Kennedy Dog Park is an off-leash area for canines of different sizes and temperaments to have a blast! The locals adore this 3-acre dog park with beautiful natural boundaries and a fence, so get your pup prepared to socialize! The area does not have grass and is sandy all over, which is super fun for chasing and digging!
