The park serves as a trailhead to Minnesota's Gateway Trail. Enjoy a hike with your pup on the Gateway Segment of the Willard Munger Trail, one of 1600 rail-trails created from former rail lines. This is a great hike close to Marine on St. Croix.

Osceola, just twelve miles from Marine on St. Croix, is a treasure of pup-friendly options. Schillberg Park, a community park, is a one-acre portion of the 91-acre open space that was previously designated as a campground. The small park has restrooms and recreational facilities, while the remainder is wide, open space for a long, leashed walk, game of fetch, or a quiet prowl down the stream bank to look for fish. Millpond Park has accessible pathways through the park for an easy stroll with Fido. In the winter, enjoy sledding or tubing with you pup down the hill that is in he park.
