The neighborhood of Bowman Woods has a mixture of residential homes and dense woods. The area is best known for the large park of Boyson Park, which provides 70 acres of open space, woods, and trails to enjoy right along Dry Creek. Dogs are welcome inside the park, and have access to great features like fenced-in tennis courts, a baseball field, open fields to run around and play, 1-mile of paved walkways, and shaded picnic areas. The area has fishing spots, a small beach for swimming, and additional features like water fountains and trash bins. Chatham Park is another dog-friendly park in the neighborhood, and although much smaller, it has even more open space and places to run around, including lots of shaded sitting areas. Dogs have to remain on a leash inside both parks.

Indian Creek is a busy neighborhood with lots of residential homes and bustling shopping centers. The neighborhood still provides dog-walkers with some great parks to go to. Thomas Park has 50 acres of land, with a paved trail, vibrant fields, a pool, a playground, and access to the nearby creek for fishing. Dogs will have plenty of room to run around and play, or enough space to go on a nice long walk, with access to additional features like water fountains, benches, and trash bins. City Square Park is a dog-friendly park right in the center of the neighborhood, and provides a small space that's completely shaded, with a trail that encompasses the park and connects to features like a playground, water fountains, a picnic area, and trash bins.

Linwood Knolls is a residential community with lots of open areas and thick forests. On the northern side of the neighborhood is Donnelly Park, which provides 19 acres of open space, dense patches of forests, and recreational fields along Dry Creek. The creek has fishing opportunities, while the park has a baseball field, a playground, and a picnic area. The park also features water fountains, clean-up stations, benches, trash bins, and a paved walkway that connects to another trail known as Boyson Trail. This trail is made from crushed stone and follows along Dry Creek up to 3.4 miles, with benches and water fountains along the path. Dogs must be on a leash inside both areas.

The neighborhood of South Marion is a packed residential community on the southwest side of town. Right on the edge of the neighborhood is Hanna Park, a pretty little park with lots of amenities like open fields, shaded trails, a playground, picnic tables, grilling stations, and a paved walkway. The park is 15 acres, and also has a baseball park, a basketball court, and a pavilion for get-togethers. Starry Park is another dog-friendly park in the area that has a large recreational area for pups and humans to explore. There's 3 fenced-in baseball fields, water fountains, a playground, and shaded picnic areas. Dogs must remain on a leash inside both parks.

Sunburst

Sunburst is a busy neighborhood with bustling streets and rows of residential homes. Dog walkers will still find plenty of space to take Fido out on a walk in Taube Park, which has 15 acres of land to enjoy. There's an open field for running around and playing, shaded trees that line the park, a playground, picnic tables, and a pavilion. Dogs must be on a leash while inside the park, but will have access to water fountains and benches. Willowood Park is a smaller park, but features an encompassing paved trail, open space, and shaded benches to relax in. Leash up Fido before heading out here, and remember to bring water and clean-up bags.
