The village of Marlborough is a small place that barely has a city hall. It has no city parks and no veterinarians, although you'll find both in nearby cities.

Within the environs of the Village of Marlborough are notable places like Grant’s Farm (a favorite free tourist spot) and access to the Grant’s Trail. Grant’s Trail is a paved walking and biking trail that extends from Highway 44 and Big Bend Blvd. all the way to the City of St. Louis boundaries. This trail is popular with walkers and bicyclists. Dogs are welcome to exercise on leash with their people. There are several places that are convenient for parking along the length of the trail.

The Village of Marlborough sits near one of these access points near the parking lot for Grant’s Farm. There, Grant’s Trail meanders near the pasture for the famous Grant’s farm Clydesdales.  This stretch through Marlborough is a particularly pleasant one for someone with a leashed dog. Along the way, there are frequent water spigots, and kindly people will leave buckets in the summer so that dogs exercising with their person are never without a cool drink while navigating the trail. The trail near the Village of Marlborough is a flat stretch that is an easy walk for either those with physical limitations or dogs that do not get much exercise. (Other parts of the trail are better suited for bikes). There are also several benches to take a short siesta on the stretch of trail near Grant’s Farm.
