The Tackapausha Nature Preserve on the west side of this neighborhood is an 80-acre sanctuary for you to explore. Brady Park is the place to take your pup in the Massapequa Village Center neighborhood. There is plenty of open space to romp or relax, a baseball field where you can catch a game, and a playground for the kiddies. There are also covered picnic areas with BBQ grills to flip some burgers. This park offers concerts in the summer for all to view, so be aware if you have a shy guy or gal on your hands. Pups are welcomed on leash, and restrooms are on-site. For more adventure and exercise, head to Massapequa Park. There is a trail here which runs for 6 ½ miles.

The East Massapequa neighborhood, on the east side of Massapequa Park, is home to Post Park which spans over 40 acres, and sports numerous picnic pavilions with jumbo BBQ grills. You and your pup can take a walk around the lake on their paved walkway, which offers plenty of benches along the way to rest. There are dedicated tables outdoors for playing chess where Fido can snooze while you challenge your opponent!  For more active folks, check out their numerous sports fields. Afterwards, head to Swirls and Twirls Frozen Yogurt to share a cone at their two outdoor, pet-friendly tables.
