Medfield is a small town 20 miles southwest of Boston, surrounded by thick woods and marshland. The area has a lot of history, with the first documented people in the town being known as the Neponset. The town was incorporated in 1651, and has grown to become a great spot not just for people, but for pups too thanks to the numerous parks and one animal hospital.

The Medfield Charles River State Reservation is the largest protected area in the city, with over 500 acres of land filled with dense trees, swampland, trails, and open fields. The area has a small parking area and 3.7 miles of dirt trails available for humans and pups to enjoy. Dogs are not required to be on a leash inside the park, but you will have to remember to bring water and clean-up bags.

The Rocky Woods Reservation is another great dog-friendly place to get out and enjoy nature with your pooch. This 491-acre area is made up of dense woods and open fields, providing over 6.5 miles of hiking and walking trails, picnic areas, barbeque facilities, and open space to run around and play. There are also benches, water fountains, and trash bins in the park.

This scenic area is known for its natural spaces, but you and Fido will love Medfield for its dedication in making dogs feel welcome in the city.

"Gabriella is great! She came as a backup when my first scheduled walker was a no-show and came as soon as possible. She was personable and seemed to really handle my dog well (he's pretty big and excitable) and he seemed to like her. I would request her in a heartbeat if I could."
