The Mentor Dog Park allows off-leash dogs in the safe, enclosed space. There is a small dog area and a large dog area, as well as a fenced-in entry/exit area. It is open during daylight hours, and used heavily by locals. Clean and well maintained, the park is truly a gem in the Mentor area. There are benches, sanitation stations, and water fountains for your enjoyment.

Dogs are allowed on-leash at the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve. This park covers almost 500 acres, and is a rarity in the busy greater Cleveland area. Nestled along the shores of Lake Erie, this park was purchased in 1997 and has since been a haven for wildlife. Over 150 different species of bird live in this park along! You and your four-legged companion are welcome to explore the diversity of the area, from wetlands and marshes to bluff forests and waterways.

The Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve has several walking trails, open to the public from dawn till dusk. The Lakefront Trail is the longest, covering 1.1-miles, while the Shoreline Loop covers a short 0.3-miles. The Marina Overlook Trail, Woods Trail, and Marsh Rim Trail are each just over half a mile long.
