Dog Areas in Midlothian, IL

1 Eatery

Midlothian is a village of nearly 15,000 people in Cook County, Illinois. It is also considered a suburb of southwestern Chicago, which means you're not far from all the amenities the big city offers. Midlothian was incorporated as a village in 1917 after a group of wealthy Chicagoans took to the rolling hills of the Midlothian Country Club golf course to get a break from the big city. Today, Midlothian still has those beautiful rolling hills and green grass, but there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and other businesses in town, too. One of these businesses includes Midlothian's own animal clinic, as well as several others that are just a short drive from the village.

Midlothian doesn't have its own off-leash dog park, but it is still a great place to live if you're a dog owner, and there are plenty of off-leash parks just outside of the village limits. One such park is the Bremen Grove Off-Leash Area in Tinley Park, Illinois, which is one of the Forest Preserves of Cook County off-leash areas. This park is just five miles or a 13-minute drive from Midlothian. Bremen Grove offers visitors seven acres of space to explore, including a big dog section and another for small dogs, along with 33 miles of trails. This park is fully fenced, and it has a double-gated entry for added safety. To access any of the Cook County Off-Leash parks, you'll need to purchase an annual permit. You and Rover are going to love visiting the parks and recreation spaces in the Midlothian area!
