Looking for a water park for your pup? Well, Jacob’s Island Dog Park isn’t technically a doggie water park, but it sure has the water features to be considered one! This off-leash park has a creek that’s perfect for splashing and swimming, and a water spigot for frolicking and drinking (just in case your dog gets thirsty!). Jacob’s Island Dog Park also has plenty of shade trees for extra comfort during those hot afternoons. Dog owners should be alert and careful, though, because there are gaps in the fencing around this park.
Greenough Park is a 42-acre park complete with hiking trails, picnic areas, and a breathtaking scenery of woods and wide-open spaces. Most of the land this park rests on was given to the city of Missoula in 1902 by Thomas and Tennessee Greenough – hence its name. Dogs are welcome inside the park, but they must be on a leash at all times.

Grizzly Acres is a smaller neighborhood in Missoula and its three parks make it a real treat for residents and their pups! Southside Lions Park is a great park to pack a lunch and have a picnic at one of the many tables, in between fetch sessions with your pooch. A spray park is also nearby and your pup can play in it so long as it is not too busy with children. Washington Park is great for dogs who love a wide open space to run around. Lastly, Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Park has art to admire, flowers to smell, benches to rest, and trails to explore. For those residents looking for an area where the water flows through, just a few moments north of the neighborhood is Clark Fork River, where your pooch can have a dip!

With a name like Miller Creek, it’s no wonder this neighborhood is a hit with the residents, especially those who have four-legged friends to consider! With how big this neighborhood is in size, it is only home to one park – Marilyn Park. Marilyn Park is a great spot within the neighborhood to walk too and spend time with your pooch! It is fenced most of the way around, so your dog can run free off leash. Washrooms are on site, as well as benches for when you need a break from chasing your pup! This neighborhood also borders the Bitterroof River, giving pups a place to swim, and is only moments away from Blue Mountain where there are plenty of trails to explore and much adventure to be found.
