Monrovia is a town in Morgan County, Indiana with a population of nearly 1,500 people. The town was first plotted in 1834, and it is home to the Dutch Lake Bridge, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Monrovia is a great place to raise a family, and there are plenty of young families in the area. Of course, our furry children are essential family members too, and there are lots of dog-friendly activities in the area as well. There isn't a designated off-leash dog park in Monrovia, but there are some in nearby towns.
If you're looking for a dog-friendly activity near Monrovia that your whole family will enjoy, check out Eagle Creek Park in northwest Indianapolis. Eagle Creek Park is just a half-hour drive from Monrovia, and it's the sixth largest city park in America. There are miles of hiking trails within Eagle Creek Park, and your dog can accompany you on any of them as long as they remain on a leash. If your dog is up for some off-leash fun, there's also a five-acre off-leash dog park within Eagle Creek Park. The dog park does require paying a small fee to get a pass for access, but the rest of the park is free to use. You and Rover will love experiencing Monrovia and all the nearby activities together!
