Mother Neff State Park in Moody offers a ton of outdoor activities for you and your dog! Like all state parks, you must keep your dog on their leash. Mother Neff State Park has over 200 acres to explore. Most of the trails are paved and marked, but there are a few chances to explore and discover new paths of your own. There are hot showers for campers and plenty of water fountains in the central areas, but you may want to bring water for your adventures. If you go just eighteen miles into Temple, you will find Oak Tree Dog Park. This is a barktastic dog park with the amenities you'll need. There are two large spaces for dogs to play in -- one has agility equipment and the other has a doggie wading pool! Water stations are available in both areas, and doggie waste bags are also supplied. You will have to show proof of vaccines to play here. There is a yearly pass available, or you can pick up a guest pass at the front office. This is a great place to make new fur friends!

Lions Park
Central Texas Bark Park, located in Temple, is a furrific way to introduce your pup to new canine friends. There's plenty of open space here for your pooch to run and play in off-leash. The park has a double-gate system so that you can be sure your fur-baby isn't going to slip out. The watering stations are clean, and the waste stations are well-stocked with bags, so all you have to bring is your buddy! The only rule is that you can't bring kids under ten in the dog park for safety reasons. Temple is about eighteen miles from Moody.
