Located on West College Street, Murfreesboro Bark Park is a large, completely fenced-in dog park that also has a smaller area just for smaller pups. Play an intense game of tug-o-war, throw a squeaky toy, or run about while making new friends – both two-legged and four!

Grab your trail mix and a couple doggie biscuits, because you’re going to need a snack after your scenic hike at Murfreesboro’s Stones River Greenway System – which is one of the 1,600 rail-trails in the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy. Picture this: towering shade trees, lush foliage, a clear blue sky with a warm, bright sun, wildlife scampering about. Okay, now stop imagining and get out there and experience it first-hand. Oh! And don’t forget to bring water for you and your beloved canine!

Something tells me your trail mix and doggie biscuits aren’t going to curb your hunger for long. After your peaceful hike, grab a bite to eat at Mellow Mushroom. Mellow Mushroom is a pizzeria and bar that also has other non-pizza food items (its well known for its pretzels with beer cheese, perhaps you’ll try them?). There’s no need to drop Fido off at home because he’s welcome out in the outdoor seating!
