Greenleaf Hiking Trail is part of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, which consists of 1,600 trails created from old rail lines. Greenleaf Hiking Trail is a multi-purpose trail, so you’ll see bikers, walkers, joggers, and skaters. Your dog must remain on her leash at all times and be cleaned up after.

Sequoyah State Park is a beautiful state park located in Hulbert, Oklahoma, that has a campground, cabins, disc golf, golf course, nature center with guided tours, stables that offer trail rides, and a swimming pool. The nature center houses wildlife that were rescued and cannot be returned back to the wild, including a bald eagle, barred owl, coyote, red and gray fox, and a red fox. Dogs are welcome to came and explore the trails, but they must be leashed, under their owners control, and cleaned up after at all times.

The Fort Gibson Dam is located in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, that has hiking trails on each side. Different types of wildlife claim the Fort Gibson Dam as their homes, especially birds in the wintertime. Dogs are more than welcome to come along on the hike with their owners as long as they’re leashed and cleaned up after. The Fort Gibson Dam is also an ideal place for fishing. Fishermen fish above the dam, below the dam, and down river from the dam.
