The city of Nashua in New Hampshire, founded in 1746, was voted "Best Place to Live in America" by readers of Money magazine two times. It was the only city to be voted number one twice; in both 1987 and 1997! That explains why so many dog lovers live there, with almost 20,000 dogs living in more than 12,000 households.

Mine Falls Park is a perfect place to take Fido to run off some of that energy built up on the trip to Nashua. There are 325 acres of forest, wetlands, prairies, and trails with a huge dog park too! That means you can get yourself worn out before you take him to run off-leash while you rest. Lots of wildlife, Nashua River, and even a waterfall on Orange Trail! Any of these places make a ridiculously beautiful place to stay all day so pack a lunch.

Nashua Dog Park is another great place for Fido to run free off-leash with other dogs. It is good to let your furbaby socialize with his own kind once in a while so have a seat and watch him go. There are plenty of shade trees, and he will thank you for it later by sleeping soundly all night. It is fully fenced and safe for all dogs.

Hudson is a short drive from Nashua and home to Hudson Dog Park, a popular spot with local dog owners. There are separated areas for large and small breeds, but both dog parks are mainly dirt with some grass for the dogs to play in. The park kindly provides poop bags and water in case you forget to bring them. Be sure to keep your small breed dogs in the smaller park as the large breed park is huge, and it may be hard to get your dog when you’re ready to go. If the dog park isn’t your style, your pup is welcome to join you in Benson Park for a nice walk. Benson Park has tons of trails for the two of you to explore and even a pond that your furry friend can splash around in.
