The best suburb in America according to Business Insider, New Albany is one of the nicest communities to visit  or live with both furry and human children in tow! New Albany boasts a nationally recognized, award-winning education system, one of the lowest crime rates in the country, and more than 600 acres of recreational space to keep both residents and visitors happy and healthy.

It's no surprise, then, that this prosperous community is also incredibly dog-friendly! New Albany is home to three veterinary clinics, so your pup will be in good paws -- er, hands -- while you're here. Despite the suburb's wealth of public parks, New Albany doesn't have any special recreation spots for pooches to play or run off-leash. For off-leash fun, you'll have to travel west to Blendon Woods Metro Park in Westerville. This public park has a 1.5-mile walking loop for a simple walk or an extra exercise. The area can be really wet and even flooded when it rains, so take heed and plan accordingly.

A good alternative on a rainy day is Brooksedge Dog Park, located in the Brooksedge Meadows neighborhood of Westerville. This park features about 3 acres of open space for pups to run and play, complete with grass, benches, drinking water facilities and two sections for small and large breeds.

New Albany is perhaps the best place to live or visit in America. But don't just take our word for it -- or Business Insider's, for that matter. Visit New Albany to see for yourself!
