There's a good reason why so many songs are written about Georgia. The nature and beauty that can be found in every corner of the state is simply unparalleled. The city of Nicholson in north Georgia is no exception. Nicholson is surrounded by forest preserves and parks where you and Fido can explore to your hearts' content and make un-fur-gettable memories.
Like other small Georgian towns, Nicholson is a quaint place with a close-knit community. Although Nicholson is tiny, there are plenty of open community spaces and local businesses where you will see other inhabitants with their dogs. The town is most well-known for its Daisy Festival, a local festival that has little to do with daisies and more to do with food, shopping, and fostering good relations within the community.
Nicholson is located right above Athens, Georgia, home of the much-loved Georgia Bulldogs and the University of Georgia. Athens is pawsitively packed with dog-friendly places, and it's less than 20 minutes outside of town. Similarly, Atlanta, often referred to as the "Capital of the South", is about an hour away, so you and Fido have plenty of opportunities to embark on an adventure!
