Dog Areas in Oaklyn

2 Parks

Oaklyn is a borough in Camden County, New Jersey, just 38 miles southwest of the State’s capital of Trenton. The area was once dense forest land and home to the Lenape Native Americans, but was settled by a group of Quakers around 1682 in what was originally known as the Newton Colony. The town was officially named Oaklyn in 1894. It is a small town, but a lovely place to stop in with your pup. There aren’t any vets or animal hospitals in Oaklyn, but rest assured help is not far away if your beloved travel buddy falls ill. Surrounding towns of Collingswood and Audubon have several clinics and animal hospitals that would be happy to help.

There are two green spaces in town worth checking out on your travels. Peters Creek offers wetlands and natural landscape, where you can come for a stroll and take in views over the lake. Lions Park is close by, towards the centre of town, and a beautiful green space nestled amongst suburbia. Your dog will love taking a stroll through the park and surrounding Oaklyn streets with you. It is a short walk to the main shopping district from here, where there is a range of interesting places to take a look at as you pass by.

With plenty more to do in Oaklyn and surrounding areas, this borough definitely worth taking some time in!
