The city of Orange, California is about 30 miles south of Los Angeles in Orange County. The town is known for its Old Towne Orange Historic District, which has several places to dine outside and a variety of more than 60 antique shops, making it the antique capital of California.

If you and your pup enjoy scouting new trails and scouting the wilderness (and maybe some wildlife!), the favorite hiking spot in the area is Peter’s Canyon on Canyon View Drive. The park has about 350 miles of trails through grasslands, woods, marshland, and coastal scrub where you can see all kinds of wildlife. There are deer, opossums, raccoons, coyotes, and be on the lookout for a bobcat or two. The trails range from beginner to difficult so choose whichever one suits you and your furry friend.

If you would rather just rest and watch Fido run and play, check out Orange Dog Park in Yorba Park on the corner of Yorba Street and Chapman Avenue. This is a popular park with separated areas for large and small dogs, and even has water fountains, poop scoops, and poop bags. When you get hungry, you can grab some food at the Lazy Dog Café on West Catella, which is perfect for dog lovers. In fact, it would seem kind of weird if you didn’t bring Fido along to a dog café, wouldn’t it? They have unbelievable food and the staff truly loves dogs. There are plenty more to choose from in the city of Orange; enjoy your stay!
