There's a puptacular recreation area located about 15 miles south of Ossian. Head to Ouabache State Park outside of Bluffton with your furry pal. This facility includes campsites, picnic facilities, a playground, and five trails of varying difficulty and length. Leashed pets can explore designated parts of this property.

If you want a place where your pup can socialize with other canines, register for a pooch pass to Pawster Park on Winchester Road. This Fort Wayne facility is about 16 miles north of town. You'll find picnic tables, water stations, and some agility equipment here. There are vaccination requirements and an annual fee for using the off-leash area. 

Pack up the RV or tent and head to Kil-So-Quah State Recreation Area for a camping vacation. There are tent sites and electric hookups available at this facility on J. Edward Roush Lake. This Acres Land Trust property is just northwest of town on East County Road 111 N. There's a 2.3-mile trail that wanders along bluffs and through forested areas here. You and Fido can get some exercise by hiking north on the Oak Street Extension along the Wabash River.  If you want to take your fur-baby on a campout, head to the Bluffton/Fort Wayne South KOA off West Lancaster Street. This facility has cabins, RV hookups, and tent sites available. There's a bark park where your pooch can play off-leash. In other areas, control him with a tether up to six feet long.
