You will have to keep your dog on a leash while you walk, but he won't mind, since you'll both love the gorgeous views of the Papio River. If you walk softly in the spring, you will see the butterflies that gave the city its name. Be sure to bring lots of water with you, because this is a natural trail without many amenities, like running water. There are some areas of the trail that run through neighborhoods, but you can choose which parts you want to enjoy.
