There are many beautiful hikes at the 13,800-acre state park, but this one proves to be one of the most dog-friendly and calm trails, and the elevation doesn’t exceed 5,100 ft. Riverside State Park

Spokane River Centennial Trail is part of the 1,600 miles of rail-trails maintained by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit that’s turns old railroads nationwide into asphalt trails for walkers, bikers and other fitness enthusiasts. Spokane River Centennial Trail spans 37.5-mile, going from the Idaho border, through downtown Spokane and ending at the canyons west of town. On the trail, you’ll see forceful rapids and beautiful waterfalls, so make sure to bring a camera to capture the breathtaking views! Drinking water and other supplies may be hard to find along the trail, so just go prepared.
