The Barefield Outdoor Recreation Complex is a long name for a pawsome Park! This area combines sports fields, walking paths, and green space into an exercise oriented area with fun for the whole family. Unlike other parks, Barefield Outdoor Recreation Complex is geared towards activity. You won’t find as many benches and tables, but you will find outdoor exercise equipment! Visitors can choose from tennis, basketball, baseball, and soccer fields. There are also strips of grass that can be used for relaxation. Dogs are allowed in the complex, as long as they’re on leash and their owner picks up after them.

Yorktowne
Railway Park in Yorktowne is a highly convenient place to walk your dog. It’s near the center of the neighborhood, and serves a largely residential community. It’s primarily a baseball park, with a large diamond set up. You can walk your dog through the field when it’s not in use, and you can always do laps of the perimeter! This park is a bit simple. It doesn’t have the amenities of other Pottsville parks. You should bring your own water, plus a doggie bowl, when you head here. What it does have is a nice atmosphere, well trimmed grass, and a great location for Yorktowne dogs.

The General Joulwan East Side Park in the Lawton’s Hill neighborhood of Pottsville is small park with big results. This park packs in the features!
